Smart-Home User Access
Configure individual users to access specific smart-home devices on the network. In this use case, the prototype focuses on a guest house where smart-devices are an amenity of the rental experience. Additional user types would benefit from this system with minimal additional effort: Permanent household members (example, a teenager with newly upgraded permissions), or recurring visitors like cleaners, caregivers, or dog-walkers.

Using the latest capabilities of phones to support micro-experiences, we are able to provide a helper tool at the precise moments where they can be most helpful.

Network Security Helper Tool
This is a security checkup that brings the user’s attention to a device on their home network which is posing a vulnerability to their system. It’s a feature that will help them leverage existing infrastructure to enhance network security, which they might not have realized was so simple to fix. This will lead them through a series of prompts handled via a chatbot of rich messaging and app-clips or similar technologies so they can complete a potentially confusing taskflow within one type of text message-style interface, native to the phone.

Alternate Version
Advancements in native messaging features can handle more complex types of capabilities, without the use of external webpage links or apps. Network-level capabilities of a telecom provider can leverage these features in more sophisticated ways.
